The Rockettes are coming to town. The Radio City Rockettes will be recognizing two of their fans in Westchester Thursday, Sept. 21 as part of their "Gift of Joy program." The Rockettes will present them with special gift packages, including tickets to Opening Night of the Christmas Spectacular and Christmas Spectacular merchandise. The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is getting ready for its annual Light the Night walks in Westchester and Fairfield.Light The Night is a series of fundraising campaigns benefiting the Rye Brook-based society and their funding of research to find blood cancer cures. A series of events will be held throughout Westchester County Monday to commemorate the 16th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks. The county will host its annual memorial ceremony at "The Rising" at Kensico Dam Plaza in Valhalla at 7 p.m. Monday. The Town of Cortlandt and Villages of Buchanan and Croton-on-Hudson will be hosting a dedication ceremony at 4 p.m. at Croton Landing to dedicate a new memorial, "Reaching Through The Shadow." WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. - For the first time, Westchester County officials are planning to recognize first responders that died as a result of illnesses during Sept. 11 rescue efforts at their annual celebration at Kensico Dam.
