19: Positive Case Reported At Tuckahoe School District
There has been a new positive COVID-19 case in a Westchester school district. Someone at the William E. Cottle Elementary School in Tuckahoe has tested positive for the virus, Superintendent Amy Goodman wrote in a note to parents. It was not disclosed whether it was a student or staff member who tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday, Sept. 11. Goodman said the person who tested positive for the virus is in a state-mandated quarantine and alerted students and staff members who were exposed through contact tracing.

Tuckahoe Voters Approve Near $10M School Capital Bond Project
Tuckahoe voters overwhelmingly approved a near $10 million capital bond referendum that will “address the district’s most basic needs for additional classrooms, safety and security upgrades, and high priority infrastructure repairs.” With a tally of 836 “yes” votes against just 348 “no” votes, the community approved the $9,987,000 capital bond project that includes the addition of a second story at William E. Tuckahoe Voters Asked To Consider $10M School Bond Proposal
The Tuckahoe Board of Education has proposed a near $10 million bond that, if approved, would “address the district’s most basic needs for additional classrooms, safety and security upgrades, and high priority infrastructure repairs.
