Shots Fired At Intersection In Mount Vernon: Police Investigating Authorities are investigating a shots fired incident that happened at an intersection in Westchester.  The incident happened on Thursday, March 21 around 11:30 a.m. in Mount Vernon, when a single shot was fired at the intersection of 10th Avenue and West Third Street, according to city officials.  No injuries or property damage were reported following the gunshot, officials said. One Apprehended, One At Large After Armed Home Invasion In Westchester, Police Say One suspect was apprehended by police in Westchester and another is at large following an armed home invasion overnight, police said. Investigators from the Mount Vernon Police Department responded to the area of South Sixth Avenue and West Third Street at approximately 1:45 a.m. on Wednesday, July 7, where there was a report of a gunshot in the area.
