It happened in Greenwich around 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26, on West Putnam Avenue. A preliminary investigation determined that a 41-year-old man was attempting to cross West Putnam Avenue near its intersection with Western Junior Highway, said Captain Mark E. Westchester Woman Nabbed Stealing Seafood From Fairfield County Supermarket, Police Say A Westchester County woman was arrested for allegedly stealing almost $200 worth of seafood from a Fairfield County grocery store. Niesha Willis, 34, of Valhalla, was arrested on Tuesday, Dec. 22, by Greenwich Police for allegedly stealing from a central Greenwich supermarket, police said. Willis was arrested after police responded to the market on West Putnam Avenue for a report that a larceny had just occurred. Westchester Man Driving Without Headlights Nabbed With Pot, Police Say A 20-year-old Westchester man was nabbed for possession of marijuana and other charges after being stopped for driving without headlights in Fairfield County. Maxwell Tafolla, of Port Chester,  was arrested on Sunday, Feb. 2, by Greenwich Police after being stopped around 9:30 p.m., for driving without headlights on West Putnam Avenue, said the Greenwich Police. When officers approached the vehicle they detected an odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle, police said.
