Bridge To Be Named For Slain Yonkers Pro Baseball Prospect City officials in Yonkers are set to dedicate the Stockbridge Road in honor of Michael Nolan, a former city resident and Oakland Athletics baseball prospect who was shot and killed in the city in September 2015. There will be a ceremony at 1:15 p.m. on Thursday, May 24, on the corner of Stockbridge Road and Middleboro Drive, dedicating the bridge to Nolan. Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano will also present a proclamation making May 26 - what would have been Nolan’s 26th birthday - as Michael Nolan Day in the city.
