Rye Native Dr. Louis Barton Was A True Scholar Longtime Westchester resident Dr. Louis Wyatt Gunn Barton died in late August at Little Farm, his home of 40 years in Ocie, MO.  Dr. Barton, age 72, was a lifelong student with prodigious academic successes. He was top student and class president at George School, and he graduated magna cum laude from Yale. Yonkers Native Joan Marie (Cronin) Hastings, Devoted Community Volunteer, Dies At 88 After a long life defined by commitment and adventure, Joan Hastings passed away Saturday afternoon, Jan. 5, 2019 in Scottsdale, AZ, at the age of 88. Hastings is predeceased by two husbands, William Hastings (1923-1994) whom she married on October 24, 1953 in Yonkers, and Earl Terp (1927-2016) whom she married February 10, 2010 in Tucson, AZ. She is survived by one sister, Diane of Falmouth, ME. Westchester Emergency Medical Workers Featured On New TV Series By 'Law & Order' Creator Paramedics in Westchester will take center stage when A&E Network premieres “Nightwatch Nation” on Thursday night. Producer Dick Wolf of "Law & Order" fame, has created his latest show, an expansion of the “Nightwatch” program, which will follow EMTs in four cities - including Yonkers - as they “risk their lives to work the busiest and most unnerving shift of the day, the overnight.” The show premieres at 10 p.m. on A&E on Aug. 16.
