Police Issue Safety Reminders After Deer Crashes Through Woman's Windshield A female motorist had a very scary moment when a deer crashed through the windshield of her car in Fairfield County on Friday morning, June 8, state police said. The incident occurred on Route 8 in Trumbull when the deer ran onto the highway in front of the car shown above as the woman was driving southbound near exit 8. After the deer was struck, it went through the windshield into the car. Luckily the operator was able to keep control of her car and pull to the right shoulder, police said.
