Westchester Man Steals Antique Gun From Event In Hudson Valley, Police Say A Northern Westchester man faces larceny charges after allegedly stealing an antique firearm from a military expo event in the Hudson Valley, police said.  The arrest stemmed from an incident in Putnam County on Saturday, April 22 around 2:30 p.m., when a sheriff's deputy was sent to the Patterson Recreation Center at 65 Front St. for a larceny complaint.  According to the Putnam County Sheriff's Office, the deputy was told by the complainant that at around 12:30 p.m., someone had stolen an 1861 Navy round barrel revolver that had been on display at his booth.  Authorities t…

Hudson Valley Man Charged With Bringing Drugs Into Prison During Visit: Police A Hudson Valley man is charged with trying to sneak illegal substances into a prison during a visit, police said.  On Monday, Oct. 31, 32-year-old Rockland County resident Joseph Garguilo III of Clarkstown brought a controlled substance into the Putnam County Correctional Facility in Carmel during a visit, according to Putnam County Sheriff Kevin McConville.  McConville said Garguilo was arrested on Tuesday, Nov. 29, and charged with the following felonies:  Fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance; First-degree promoting prison contraband.  Garguilo …
