Bronxville Native Doug Crane, Master Animator, Cartoonist, Dies At 85
Doug Crane, an animator for Terrytoons, Hanna-Barbera, MTV, Filmation, Oriolo Films, Zander Animation Parlour, as well as former Professor of Animation at SVA, died on Thursday, Dec. 17 after a short battle with cancer.
Born in Bronxville, Crane’s love for drawing cartoons and animation began early on. After attending Eastchester High School and graduating from the Cartoonist and Illustrators School (now called The School of Visual Arts in New York City) Crane began working for Terrytoons in 1956.

Former Bank Manager Julia A. Rabasca, New Rochelle Native, Dies At 94
Julia A (Mastromarino) Rabasca, 94, died Dec. 20, 2018 at Solaris HealthCare Parkway in Stuart, FL. Born in New Rochelle, Rabasca lived at The Evergreen Club in Palm City, FL, for the past 37 years.
She was in the banking industry for 39 years, last working for Barclays Bank as a Branch Manager before retiring in 1981. Rabasca was a member of The Evergreen Club where she was active in golf and was a very good player of Mah Jongg until declining health.
