Schorr Announces State Senate Run
Dan Schorr is the latest candidate to run for County Executive George Latimer's old state senate seat. Schorr, a White Plains resident, announced Thursday he is seeking the Republican nomination to represent the 37th District. The seat became vacant when Latimer was elected county executive. There is one less state senator in New York. With George Latimer (D-Rye) being sworn in as Westchester County Executive, he resigned his senate seat, which represents the 37th district. Gov. Andrew Cuomo must now set a date for a special election.
