Several young summer campers in Northern Westchester face longer rides home because of a fallen tree that has blocked a school bus's route and prevented it from turning around. The incident happened in Lewisboro just before 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 9, when a tree fell on Route 35 in front of a bus carrying young campers from the Little Explorers camp at Lewisboro Elementary School. 'Safe Modern Play': Construction To Begin On New Inclusive Playground In Westchester County
A town in Northern Westchester will soon feature an inclusive playground specifically designed for children with differing physical and emotional needs. On Tuesday, Oct 25, the official groundbreaking was held for the Lewisboro Playground Improvement Project, which is meant to create a "safe modern play space for children of all ages and abilities," according to the project's website. Four In Stolen Car Nabbed After Fleeing From Cops In Westchester
Three men and a juvenile were arrested in Westchester County after allegedly fleeing from police in a stolen vehicle. The incident began about 6 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 8, when the Real-Time Crime Center reported that a stolen car was traveling on Route 35 in Lewisboro. Nearly two dozen area businesses were found to be in compliance during a New York State Police underage drinking initiative.
