Pair Of Bears Spotted Near Westchester Intersection: Here's Where Two black bears were seen together at an intersection in Northern Westchester, officials announced. The duo was seen by the intersection of Route 116 and Route 121 on Old Salem Center Road in North Salem, Supervisor Warren Lucas announced on Thursday, Oct. 12 around 4:15 p.m.  Authorities were notified about the animals, but Lucas said residents should have no cause for concern.  "The police are aware, please be aware. At this point they weren't bothering anyone," Lucas said.

It happened on Titicus Road (Route 116) in the town of North Salem. Police said troopers from Somers barracks were dispatched shortly before 2 a.m. Thursday, April 16 for an alarm activation, and discovered two dead adults inside a private residence.  The two have been identified as Barry Naderman, 63, and Peggy Naderman, 64, according to state police. Jackson of Mount Vernon was killed around 5:25 a.m. Tuesday in the town of Somers after losing control of his vehicle, said Trooper AJ Hicks, spokesman for the New York State Police.
