Car Crashes Through School Wall In Westchester: Students Now Being Re-Routed Students are being re-routed after a vehicle crashed into their Westchester school building, creating a gaping hole in the wall.  The incident happened in Yonkers on Tuesday morning, Oct. 10, when a motorist lost control of their vehicle and crashed into the Waring Avenue side of Yonkers Public School 9 at 53 Fairview St., Yonkers Police announced.  The collision created a gaping hole in the school's kitchen and knocked bricks from the exterior wall.  Although the school suffered damage, luckily, the incident happened before students arrived and resulted in no injuries …

Jason Antonelli died from an "unexpected cardiac event" in Newburgh on Wednesday, July 6, according to his obituary. Antonelli, who was known in his early years as Jason Reichgut, grew up in Hyde Park and graduated from Roosevelt High School, where he was a member of the varsity crew and varsity soccer teams. Covid-19: Six Staffers Test Positive At School District In Westchester Several educators at a school district in Westchester have tested positive for COVID-19, but the district remains on track to transition to its hybrid learning model next month. Since the start of remote classes last week, the Yonkers School District is reporting that there have been at least six positive cases from staff members in three school buildings.
