Schorr Announces State Senate Run Dan Schorr is the latest candidate to run for County Executive George Latimer's old state senate seat. Schorr, a White Plains resident, announced Thursday he is seeking the Republican nomination to represent the 37th District. The seat became vacant when Latimer was elected county executive. Scarsdale Investor Declines Gubernatorial Run Gov. Andrew Cuomo's potential opponents are stepping aside.
