Officers from the Scarsdale Police Department were dispatched to the intersection of Post Road and Olmsted Road at approximately 1:50 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 19, where there was a report of a crash. Police said that New Rochelle resident Gerald Collins, Jr., 39, was driving a Toyota Camry south on Post Road when he rear-ended a Jeep Wrangler that was stopped at a red light. The crash took place around 3:30 p.m. at Olmsted Road and Brewster Road in Scarsdale, according to the Scarsdale Police. No injuries were reported. The fire department, as well as EMS, responded along with police officers, police said. Police did not know which school the bus serviced.
