Hudson Valley Man Charged With Beating Cops With Bat At Capitol Rejects Plea Deal
An area man accused of attacking police officers with a weapon during the insurrection in Washington, D.C. on Jan. 6 has rejected his plea deal and plans to fight the charges against him at trial. Orange County resident Edward Jake Lang, age 26, of Newburgh, a Sullivan County native from Narrowsburg, was arrested in his hometown on Jan. 16 for participating in the riots and posting photos on social media. This Westchester Locale Is Among 'Most Charming Small Towns' Near NYC
As New York turns the calendar to fall and many begin flocking away from the city and into the suburbs, several Hudson Valley communities have been named among the state’s “most charming” small towns. More than two dozen Hudson Valley post offices remain without power following Friday’s Nor’easter that rocked the region with 60 mph wind gusts and a storm.
