Man Struck, Killed By Metro-North Train
An unidentified man was struck and killed by a Metro-North New Haven Line train near the downtown Stamford station early Friday evening. The incident occurred around 6:50 p.m. The train had departed from Grand Central Station just before 6 p.m. Delays of a half-hour or more following the incident last for several hours. Circuit Issue Causes Delays On Metro-North
Update: Metro-North New Haven Line serve is now operating or close to schedule after earlier delays due to circuit issues. Original report: Metro-North customers are experiencing delays of 35 minutes or more on the New Haven Line late Monday afternoon. The delays are as a result of earlier circuit issues in the vicinity of Southport in Fairfield County. There are delays on the Metro-North New Haven line on Thursday morning after a person was struck and killed by a train shortly before 6:30 a.m. in the vicinity of West Haven.
