Truck, Trailer Drive Into House In Westchester A residence in Northern Westchester was damaged after a truck and trailer crashed into it, piercing a hole in the home's garage.  The incident happened on Thursday, June 1 just after 11 a.m., when firefighters responded to a residence in Somers on Mahopac Avenue where a truck that was towing a trailer had crashed through a wall, according to the Somers Volunteer Fire Department.  Luckily, once the department arrived at the home, they confirmed that there were no injuries as a result of the incident.  After remaining on scene for an hour, the home was turned over to the Somer…

One Driver Trapped In Head-On Westchester Crash A two-vehicle head-on crash trapped the driver of one vehicle in Northern Westchester. The crash took place around 8:17 a.m., Friday, Feb. 14, at the intersection of Mahopac Avenue and Route 35 in Somers, said the Somers Volunteer Fire Department. The first units on the scene found the trapped driver, and with a crew of five using the Jaws of Life to remove the side of the vehicle, the driver was removed within eight minutes, the department said.
