Yonkers Native Joan Marie (Cronin) Hastings, Devoted Community Volunteer, Dies At 88
After a long life defined by commitment and adventure, Joan Hastings passed away Saturday afternoon, Jan. 5, 2019 in Scottsdale, AZ, at the age of 88. Hastings is predeceased by two husbands, William Hastings (1923-1994) whom she married on October 24, 1953 in Yonkers, and Earl Terp (1927-2016) whom she married February 10, 2010 in Tucson, AZ. She is survived by one sister, Diane of Falmouth, ME. Hastings had five children, Bill Jr. (Debbie) of Falmouth, ME, Paul (Todd) of Palm Springs, CA, Mark of Mesa, AZ, Julie (Bruce) of Scottsdale, AZ and Geoff of Des Moines, IA and nine grandchildren …

CBS Names Pace University Grad As Interim President/CEO After Ouster Of Les Moonves
The CBS Corporation has just named a Pace University graduate as its interim president and chief executive officer. Joseph Ianniello, who was chief operating officer of CBS, takes over for Les Moonves, who resigned late Sunday after new allegations of sexual abuse by six women were published in a story in the New Yorker. “Leslie Moonves will depart as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer effective immediately. A new study by Forbes ranks New York state's top universities by the value of their education. Topping the nationwide study is Columbia University in New York City, which ranked 27th overall. The Ivy League institution's annual tuition is $53,000. Colgate University in Hamilton placed 37th nationwide. Its annual tuition is $49,970 Stony Brook University ranked 41st overall. Bernice K. Feldman, a resident of Briarcliff Manor for more than 50 years, died on Jan. 6 in Texas. She was 94.
