Yonkers Man Caught Fishing Checks, More From Mailbox, Police Say A Yonkers man had an accomplice stand lookout as he fished mail from postal boxes overnight, said police who are becoming more aggressive about the skyrocketing number of mailbox thefts plaguing the Northeast. Bayonne police said they were watching on a public security camera as Ivan A. Rodriguez, 18, removed envelopes from a box just after 3:30 a.m. Sunday.
