Firefighter, 2 Others Injured In Blaze At Westchester Eatery A basement fire at a popular Westchester eatery resulted in three people being injured, including a firefighter who was hospitalized.  The incident happened on Wednesday, Nov. 8 just after 10 a.m., when the Larchmont Fire Department responded to an active basement fire at Bagels by Sofia located at 145 Chatsworth Ave. According to the department, arriving crews found plenty of smoke pouring from the eatery and upon entering, discovered heavy flames in the basement. Basement Fire Damages Westchester County Home A late morning basement fire sent firefighters in droves to a home in Northern Westchester.  On Sunday, Jan. 8, around 11:30 a.m., firefighters responded to a residence in Peekskill on Crompond Road (Route 202) after smoke was seen coming out of the two-and-a-half-story home.  Once there, firefighters then realized the fire was coming from the basement and called for help from off-duty members.
