Concordia Women's Tennis Remains Undefeated

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. -- Four Concordia College players were double winners Tuesday as the Lady Clippers defeated visiting Chestnut Hill College 7-2 in women’s college tennis. Yuliya Plevako, Juliana Frey, Maria Ortiz and Camilla Xavier each won a singles match and later a doubles match. Frey and Ortiz swept fourth and fifth singles, respectively, while Plevako and Xavier went three sets. Xavier rallied to the win after losing the first set. She won the third set tie-breaker, 14-12. Plevako teamed with Clara Catanzano to win first doubles, Frey and Ana S.O. Mendes took second doubles and Ortiz and Xavier collaborated to win third doubles. Concordia remained undefeated on the season, 6-0.
