Concordia Baseball Ranked Fifth in Coaches Poll

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – The Concordia College Clippers baseball team has been predicted to finish in fifth place according to the recently released Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) baseball preseason poll. The voting was conducted by the conference’s 11 head coaches.

Last season, the Clippers finished with a 16-23 overall record and a 10-10 CACC record. Wilmington (Del.) sits atop the poll with 120 total points and 10 of the possible 11 first-place votes, while Concordia was chosen fifth with 66 points.

The Clippers will kick off their 2012 season on Feb. 24 against Southern N.H. in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Concordia’s home opener is scheduled for March 15 against Queens (N.Y.) with the first pitch set for 3 p.m.
