Coaches Pick Concordia Women's Tennis As Top Team

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. — The nine head coaches from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference picked the Concordia College women’s tennis team to finish first in the CACC Women’s Tennis preseason poll.

Concordia received 80 points in the poll, 13 more than second-place Chestnut Hill, and received eight of nine first-place votes.

The Clippers have won three straight regular season championships and will seek to extend that streak this season. Concordia finished 11-2 last season and 8-0 in conference.

Concordia also won its third straight CACC Tournament title last season but lost to rival Queens in the second round of the NCAA Division II Tournament.

The Intercollegiate Tennis Association released its final poll last season in May and ranked the Clippers at No. 45 in the country and No. 2 in the East Division among all NCAA Division II teams.
