Bronxville's Chapel School Finishes Strong Cross Country Season

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. -- Twenty students in the fifth through eighth grades at The Chapel School in Bronxville finished up their successful cross country season last weekend.

The Chapel School cross country team finished a strong season in just its second year competing in Westchester's CYO cross country season.

Fifth grade runners competed in a a 1500m run while students in the sixth through eighth grade grouping ran 1.2 miles throughout Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx over a series of four meets.

Runners in sixth through eighth grade had a very strong season with the boys’ team earning 1st place at each of the four meets.

Several students posted personal best times, including three seventh graders who placed in the top 10 at the final meet of the season.

2013 marked just the second year that the school participated in Westchester County’s CYO Cross Country season.
