Bronxville's Ally Pass Is Explosive In Field Hockey

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – When the Bronxville varsity field hockey team is on an offensive rush or scoring a goal, senior Ally Pass will have affected it.

The veteran forward is among the team leaders, with four goals and three assists, as the 2011 Section 1 Class C champions are off to an excellent start.

“Ally is the inserted on all of our penalty corners and has been a crucial part of our corners for two years,” Bronxville coach Jackie Frawley said.

Pass’ pinpoint inserts, whether to the top of the circle for the stick stop or a short pass, makes Bronxville dangerous on every corner.

When Pass is not setting her teammates up through penalty corners, she is taking the ball down the right side, dodging defenders and looking to create a scoring chance.

“Ally has unbelievable, explosive speed to cut to the ball and possess the ball,” Frawley said. “As the right forward, Ally is in the right place at the right time to receive a pass and then carry the ball and make the hit across the circle to be finished off by her teammates.

“Ally’s consistent and reliable play has proven to be one of the key forces behind our offensive success.”
