Local fans can catch the Bronxville High School graduate running at 8 p.m. Sunday on NBC. She'll have to go up against a tough field of competition, including Shannon Rowbury, who holds the U.S. record, lohud.com reports.
Cain, 20, who turned pro at 17, holds a record for the fastest time ever run by an American high school student in the 1,500-meter when she ran it in 4:04.62 at the 2013 IAAF World Championships, lohud.com says. A middle-distance runner, Cain competed for 10 seasons at Bronxville High School, winning state and national recognition.
