BRONXVILLE, N.Y. Christian Conway added another accolade to his growing list of awards Wednesday when the New York State Sportswriters Association named the Bronxville High running back as the Class C All-State Football Player of the Year for the 2011 season.
Conway joined teammates Sean Triandis, Sean Callahan and brother Jackson Conway, all second-team All-State selections, as the NYSSA named its stars in Classes B, C and D. Callahan and Triandis were two-way linemen and Jackson Conway a star linebacker.
Conway rushed for a school record 1,885 yards and 31 touchdowns this past fall as the defending 2010 state champion Broncos ran their unbeaten streak to 21 games over two years before bowing out in the Section 1 final against eventual state champion Dobbs Ferry.
