Bronxville boys lacrosse to play in state semis

Bronxville is looking to go where no Broncos boys’ lacrosse team has ever gone before -- the Class C state championship game.

The Broncos will have an opportunity to achieve its goal when it plays Section 11’s Bayport-Blue Point in the East semifinal Wednesday, 8 p.m. at White Plains High School.

The other semifinal is Cazenovia (Section 3) against Silver Creek (Section 6). The two semi-final winners will play for the state title Saturday, 4 p.m., at Cicero-North Syracuse High School.

Following a 15-3 win over Red Hook (Section 9) in its first regional game, Bronxville defeated Glens Falls of Section 2, 12-8 in a regional final. Charlie McCormick, who scored five goals against Red Hook, did the same against Glens Falls. Henry Grass had a hat trick, Jack Grass collected three assists and Jack Near added two goals and two assists.
