Along with the programs and activities offered by the Town of Eastchester, Bronxville offers its own variety of recreation options for people of all ages. Activities include court sports, child development programs such as day camp and gymnastics, and special community events. Park facilities include Bicentennial Park, School Field, Dogwood Park, Maltby Park, River-Lake Park (part of the Bronx River Reservation), Scout Field, The Meadow, Bacon Woodlands, Sagamore Park, and Leonard Morange Square. Bicentennial Park boasts an outdoor garden and has benches and paved areas. School Field is generally available to the public when no school activities are taking place – has an all-weather football field, three smaller fields and a running track. Dogwood Park, A 2.4 acre tennis complex, includes five tennis courts, a tennis building, a children's play area and a sitting area. Maltby Park features a 2.6 acre play area and The "Betty Parker" cabin (also known as the Girl Scout cabin).River-Lake Park (part of the Bronx River Reservation) is owned by Westchester County and is available for walks, informal play and as a sitting area. Scout Field is owned by Westchester County and leased to Bronxville and Mount Vernon. Bronxville schools us Scout Field for soccer, football, baseball and cross country running programs. The Meadow is an undeveloped area of 5.7 acres. Sagamore Park has a small playground and park renovated as a play area for children. Leonard Morange Square, named for Leonard S. Morange, the first village resident to lose his life in WWI, features a small park-like setting with benches for sitting and is adjacent to the Bronxville Metro north station.
