“Most of humanity likes to draw,” Colón said, during the visit. His interest in drawing bodies in motion came from "Spider-Man" artist Steve Ditko." As a child, Colón suffered from chronic asthma and spent his time in bed reading comic books and drawing his favorite characters. Following his presentations, students were reportedly overheard saying “I can’t wait until Art class!”

Colón's visit on April 30, was part of a week long book fair sponsored by The Chapel School PTO to get students excited about art and reading.
