The group of 18 educators from New York and Connecticut from the Tri-State Consortium will be in Bronxville from May 1 through May 3.

On May 3, the visiting team will engage in dialogue with the staff, offering informal feedback. The opening of school will be delayed for students that day, with classes starting at 10 a.m.

Throughout the year, Bronxville students have been producing original work that demonstrates a capacity for analysis, reasoning, problem-solving and effective communication about complex, global issues.

District officials are asking the visiting team of educators to provide feedback about how effectively the curriculum design, assessment and professional development contribute to that goal.

The Tri-State Consortium is a regional association that supports high performing schools. Previous visits to the district centered on science in 2009 and math in 2005.

When completed, the consortium’s final report will be made public.
