The march, which was a major contributing factor in advancing the cause of civil rights in America, took place in March, 1965 and featured the Rev. Martin Luther King and other notable figures from the civil rights movement.
The march at Concordia was sponsored by the Concordia College Liberal Studies Program and Student Life Office.
The march included students from the college and the Chapel School in Bronxville, along with faculty and staff, and featured a re-creation of a banner that is seen in historic pictures of a 1965 march in Harlem.
