Bronxville Schools Set To Reopen Friday After Sandy

BRONXVILLE, N.Y – Bronxville schools excluding kindergarten and Elementary special classes will reopen Friday at 10 a.m. after being closed all week because of Hurricane Sandy, the district announced.

Bronxville Schools Superintendent David Quattrone said the school's reopening couldn't have happened without the planning and hard work of teachers and faculty.

The school's reopening is a result of a lot of hard work, said Bronxville Schools Superintendent David Quattrone.

"We had about about 50 contracted workers here Saturday and Sunday making sure the school was prepared for the storm, which it was," Quattrone said. "The school didn't flood, didn't lose power and didn't suffer any major structural damage. All I can say is that we are very lucky."
