This year, The Daily Beast and Newsweek ranked the top 2,000 public high schools in the country, evaluating how effective they’ve been in producing college-ready graduates.
Bronxville High School was the highest-ranked Westchester County school, the sixth in the state and 42nd in the country.
The study is based on six components, including graduation rate, college acceptance rate and among of advanced placement tests taken by students, which combine to comprise 75 percent of the rank. The last 25 percent is made up of advanced placement test scores, the percent of students enrolled in top level classes and average SAT scores.
Bronxville sports a graduation rate of 100 percent, with all students making their way to college. They have an average SAT score of 1898 and an average advanced placement test score of 3.9 out of 5.
The next closest Westchester County high schools include Edgemont Junior-Senior High School in Scarsdale (72nd in the state); Rye High School (79th) and Blind Brook-Rye in Rye Brook.
