Bronxville Woman Charged With DWI, BAC Triple Legal Limit

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. - A Bronxville woman was arrested in Rockland County over the weekend when police responded to a reported possible disabled vehicle, only to find the driver drunk in the front seat.

Shortly after 2:30 a.m. on Saturday morning, New York State police in Clarkstown attempted to render aid to a possible disabled vehicle near exit 12 on I-87, where they found Bronxville resident Julieanna Wheeler, 46, intoxicated.

According to the police report, Wheeler was transported to the state police department in Tarrytown, where she registered a blood alcohol content of .23 percent - nearly triple the legal limit in New York.

Wheeler was charged with a misdemeanor charge of aggravated driving while intoxicated. She was released to a sober third party and issued an appearance ticket. She is due back in Clarkstown Town Court on Wednesday, Jan. 27.
