Justin Morris, 16, had just moved to Westchester County with his mother, who was trying to get him away from the gang violence he was exposed to in the Bronx, says the New York Times.
He and a teenage girl had parted ways at the Bronx subway station at 183rd Street and Jerome Avenue when he was shot under the elevated tracks on the way to his train, just before 11 p.m., according to the New York Times.
