Mary Heslin, 82, Retired Teacher, Of Bronxville

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – Mary Brett Heslin of Bronxville died Oct. 26. She was 82.

A former Bronx, resident, Heslin worked as a teacher for the New York City Board of Education for more than 20 years. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Philip Neri Church in the Bronx.

She is survived by three sisters, Eileen (William) McCully, Anne (John) Cussen and Catherine  (Robert) Murray; six children, Eileen Heslin, Seton (Norman) Heslin-Scott, Kerian (Patrick) McDonough, Maura (Kenneth) Heslin-Petriccione, Kevin (Ysabel) Heslin and Dennis (Patricia) Heslin; and 12 grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, John Brett; and two children, Michael and Dermot.

Visitation is from 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Yorktown Funeral Home in Shrub Oak. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:45 a.m. Friday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Shrub Oak. Burial will follow at St. Raymond's Cemetery in the Bronx.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to a local Multiple Sclerosis Society chapter.
