BRONXVILLE, N.Y. Anthony Emilo Ventriglia of Bronxville died Tuesday, Aug. 28. He was 90.
Ventriglia was born June 20, 1922, in New York City. He graduated from Stuyvesant High School in 1938 and received a bachelor's degree from Columbia University in 1942 and a masters degree in applied mathematics from Brown University in 1943.
He continued his studies at Cornell University until 1944. He served in the Army Air Force in Langley, Va., from 1944 until the end of the World War II. He worked as a professor of mathematics at Manhattan College for 45 years before retiring in 1995.
Ventriglia is survived by his wife, Lois; two daughters, Patti Maguire and Linda Carella; and five grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Vincent Vente.
A funeral service was held at Fred H. McGrath and Son Funeral Home in Bronxville on Friday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
