Tuckahoe Police Blotter: Traffic Stops, Pot Busts

TUCKAHOE, N.Y. – A Bronxville man was arrested early Tuesday morning by Tuckahoe Police and charged with driving while intoxicated and unlawful possession of marijuana

According to a police report, Matthew Trizano, 38, was stopped when police saw a black Jeep driving without headlights on Columbus Avenue about 3:30 a.m. The report says the Jeep also failed to stop for a red light at Fisher Avenue. Trizano failed to pass field sobriety tests, police said, and posted a 0.17 blood alcohol level on his breath test. Trizano was released on $100 cash bail and given an April 17 court date.

The following items also were reported by Tuckahoe police:

Suspicious person: A suspicious person was reported at 6:02 p.m. on April 4 at 133 Sagamore Road.

In the weeds: A Peekskill man was given an appearance ticket at 2:51 a.m. April 5 when police stopped him for driving a vehicle with illegally tinted windows and, according to the police report, found nine small bags of marijuana in the car.

Suspicious person: A suspicious person was reported at 3:51 p.m. April 5 at 5 Leonard Road.

Criminal mischief: A car was reported scratched at 5:34 p.m. April 5 on Washington Street.

Suspicious auto: A suspicious vehicle was reported at 12:20 a.m. April 6 on Fisher Street.

Too noisy: A noise complaint was made at 4:21 a.m. April 6 at 111 Sagamore Road.

Suspicious auto: A suspicious vehicle was reported at 11:25 p.m. April 6 on Clinton Place.

Quiet down: A noise complaint was received at 3:54 a.m. April 8 on Washington Street.

Suspicious person: A suspicious person was reported at 5:42 p.m. April 8 on Railroad Avenue.

Property damage: The back window of a vehicle was reportedly smashed between 1:05 and 1:20 p.m. April 9 at 1 Oak Ave.

Too much noise: A noise complaint was received at 5:47 p.m. April 9 at 42 Washington St.

Suspicious auto: A suspicious vehicle was reported at 7:10 p.m. April 9 on Lake Avenue.

Pot luck: A driver who was stopped at 1:48 a.m. April 10 for driving without tail lights was subsequently charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and given a summons to appear in court April 24.

Suspicious person: A suspicious person was reported at 1:37 p.m. April 10 at 5 Harrison St.

Property damage: At 3:48 p.m. April 10, a vehicle was reportedly hit and damaged while parked at 188 Midland Ave.
