EASTCHESTER, N.Y. -- A level 3 sex offender has moved to a home located on the Eastchester/Scarsdale border.
Josef Reutershan, 46, moved to 20 Lee Avenue, which has a Scarsdale address, last week. Eastchester Police notified schools and community groups on Friday. The level 3 classification means the offender is at the highest risk category to repeat his crimes.
According to the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Web site, Reutershan was arrested by the Westchester County District Attorneys office in February, 2009.
The victim was a 15 year old boy with whom Reutershan had no previous relationship.
Reutershan was convicted of three felonies; disseminating indecent material to minors , promoting an obscene sexual performance by a child less than 17 years of age, and possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child less than 16 years old.
Reutershan is between 6-foot-2 and 6-foot-3-inches tall, white and weighs between 230 and 253 pounds.
He has gray hair and brown eyes and has a bird tattoo on his left arm, a dolphin tattoo on his right arm and on a wolf tattoo on his left leg.
