Free Concert Wednesday Night in Eastchester

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. - The annual concert series was so popular that the Eastchester Department of Recreation decided to add one more performance to the summer season.

Supervisor Sally Veltidi said the Wanderers will play Wednesday at 7 p.m. on the basketball court at Garth Road Park.

The Wanderers started out as a "Garage Band" in 1964 in White Plains, playing pop, rock and rhythm and blues in bars and dance halls. Since then, The Wanderers have opened for The Four Tops and most recently The Beach Boys.

The Wanderers continue to share the music of the 1950's, 1960's, 1970's and 1980's but also infuse their performances with humor and stories.

This is the seventh free concert sponsored by the town. The series began in June.

So bring your blankets and chairs and join The Wanderers for a night of music and fun.
