Four Arrested, Two Injured in Tuckahoe Brawl

TUCKAHOE, N.Y. -- An overnight brawl sent two people to the hospital and four people to jail in Tuckahoe Saturday morning.

Four Yonkers men came to the village to search for a Tuckahoe man. Police believe the man is allegedly dating the former girlfriend of one of the defendants.

While the matter is still under investigation, Tuckahoe Police Lt. Ray Stabile said when the Yonkers men arrived at the VFW post, located at 40 Midland Place, a fight broke out, even though the person the men were looking for was not there.

"We received numerous 911 calls on Saturday at approximately 2:18 a.m. saying there was a fight going on and people were bleeding from possible stab wounds," Stabile said.

Upon arrival, police found multiple victims, including a 34-year-old Tuckahoe man, who was injured but refused medical attention.

Two bystanders who attempted to break up the fight were injured. A New Rochelle man, who was struck on the head with a broken bottle, was taken to Sound Shore Hospital, where he was treated and released. A second bystander, a Tuckahoe resident, was also taken to Sound Shore Hospital for stitches. He was also treated and released.

The Yonkers men allegedly fled the scene before police arrived. Stabile said police immediately sent out a hotline alert.

At approximately 2:32 a.m., Tuckahoe Police were notified that Yonkers Police had taken six men into custody on Schroeder Street in Yonkers.

All six men were taken to the Tuckahoe Police Department and two of them were released. Arrested were Joshua Torres, 22 of Shroeder Street in Yonkers, Samuel Torres, Jr. 24 of Locust Hill Avenue in Yonkers, Samuel Torres-Rivera Sr. 45, of Prospect Street in Yonkers, and Richard Vale, 23, of Van Cortlandt Park Avenue in Yonkers. Each were charged with Gang Assault in the Second Degree, a class C felony. Joshua Torres is being held on $25,000 bail and the remaining suspects are each being held on $10,000 bail at the Westchester County Jail in Valhalla.

Police said a court date for the four suspects to return to Village Court is pending the outcome of felony hearings at the county level.
