BRONXVILLE, N.Y. - With Captain Emily Kimac sidelined with an injury at least until playoffs, the Bronxville girls varsity field hockey team will have to amp up it's defense.

"Our defense will be important, " Kimac said. "And we need to get those big hits."

Coach Jackie Frawley said the team record is 6 wins, 1 loss and 1 tie with just a few weeks left in the regular season, which ends on October 25.

"We are doing well, and we hope to continue that and move into the playoffs," Frawley said.

Frawley said that her 19 athletes practices five days each week and has a game each week as well.

"They work really hard, and I hope that their hard work and dedication will get them a spot in the playoffs," Frawley said.
