Accidents Cause Delays On I-87, Sprain, I-95

Three evening accidents caused heavy delays for commuters Tuesday.

An accident reported just before 6 p.m. initially blocked two lanes on southbound I-87 between the Saw Mill River Parkway (Exit 7A) and Saw Mill River Road (Exit 7), with stop-and-go backups to I-287 (Exit 8).

A nearby crash blocked the shoulder of the northbound Sprain Brook Parkway North at I-287.

An I-95 accident blocked the shoulder at Fenimore Road (Exit 18A) on the New Rochelle/Larchmont border.
