Festooned with sparkling trees, pine garland, ribboned wreaths and colorful nutcrackers, the Bronxville Field Club was a festive setting for the Anne Hutchinson-Bronxville Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution's 95th Anniversary Luncheon honored chapter members Mary Mimms and Virginia Kathryn Hefti.

Mimms, widow of the late Bronxville Village Justice Carney Mimms, was honored on the occasion of her 100th birthday.

Hefti, the widow of former Commissioner of Planning and Community Development Robert T. Hefti, is a former DAR Regent and direct descendant of Henry Fowler, one of the town's early settlers and a signatory to the vaunted 17th Century Eastchester Covenant. Hefti was also honored on the occasion of the town's 350th Anniversary.

Members of the DAR for more than six decades, both ladies have generously served their communities in myriad ways for as many years.

In commemoration of the 2014 honorees' efforts on behalf of historic preservation and patriotic causes, Eastchester Town Supervisor Anthony S. Colavita, issued official town proclamations congratulating both Mimms and Hefti for their service to the community.

In addition to the official proclamations, Mimms and Hefti were also presented with outsized floral bouquets and were serenaded by the Pelham Larks, a choral group directed by Jeffrey Hoffman.
