The Chapel School Presents Distinguished Service Award

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. -- Bronxville resident Lisa Johnson is the recipient of The Chapel School Award for distinguished service given to her March 6 at a worship service celebrating the end of Lutheran Schools Week.

“Lisa is a person who possesses both energy and persistence. When she sees a way of making something better at The Chapel School, she puts her energy and persistence into making sure it happens," said Principal James Dhyne who presented the award.

Johnston is the current President of the PTO, has chaired the church and school’s Gathering of Friends Gala Auction, an involved in many other ways.

“She is committed to quality Christian education and believes that volunteerism is her way to give back to the community and believes that all people should find a way to share their time and talents with others," The Rev. Dr. Robert Hartwell, Senior Pastor of the Village Lutheran Church and The Chapel School said.
