An open meeting will be held Tuesday, Nov. 17, at 7:30 p.m. in the courtroom of Bronxville Village Hall in connection with the NPC's process of seeking and nominating candidates for school trustee. The NPC will solicit input from the community on the selection of the school board candidates. The NPC particularly wants to hear what the community feels are the most important issues facing the school and what qualifications and characteristics the community would like to see in their school trustees.
The NPC encourages all Bronxville residents to attend this meeting. If you are unable to attend the meeting, you may email questions to bxv_npc@yahoo.com. Include your name and address. Questions will be selected at random and directed to the special guest panel, Schools Superintendent David Quattrone and Denise Tormey, president of the Board of Education.
Any resident who is interested in running for school trustee or who would like to suggest candidates should contact the NPC as soon as possible. To be considered by the NPC, individuals must submit an application to the NPC by Feb. 27. The application form can be found on the NPC website, bronxvillenpc.com.
For more information, contact Steve Kraemer, chair, at 917-374-4897 or Jennifer Lescott, vice chair, at 917-608-5342, or email the NPC at bxv_npc@yahoo.com.
