Bronxville residents may experience discolored water this week as SUEZ Water Westchester crews flush fire hydrants and blow-offs.
“A temporary slight discoloration of the water and a decrease in water pressure may be noted as a result of opening the hydrants,” officials noted. “If you experience this discoloration of water, run cold water in a basement sink for 15-20 minutes, which should rectify the situation. If the water is discolored, please flush your line as mentioned above before attempting to do any laundry.
Officials said that work will be carried out between 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m., and all workers will have identification cards on their person for residents’ security.
SUEZ said that hydrant flushing can be expected this week at:
- Kensington Road northeast of Avon Road;
- Beach Tree Lane at Kensington Road;
- Sagamore Road southwest of Avon Road;
- Beverly Road;
- Beverly Place.
