Students Confirmed At Lutheran Church In Bronxville

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. -- Seventh-and-eighth grade students recently celebrated the Rite of Confirmation at Village Lutheran Church in Bronxville.

After attending weekly confirmation classes for two years during their seventh- and eighth-grade years, the students were anointed with oil and given a confirmation Bible verse at the Rite of Confirmation liturgy during the 10:45 a.m., service on Sunday, May 18.

The confirmation program, named "Lifer Youth," involves fellowship, service and religious education.

Students who were confirmated were from the Bronx, Bronxville, Eastchester, Pelham, Scarsdale and Yonkers: Tristan Ansorge, Grace Burkee, Mercedes del Castillo, Alex Kirchgaesser, Diana Mayer, Jason Napolitano, Henry Nordahl, Emily Ortiz and Ryan Rockhill.
